St. Urban and St. Wendelin (Ammeldingen an der Our)
The Catholic branch church St. Urban and St. Wendelin in Ammeldingen an der Our , a local community in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate , was built in 1816. The church at Dorfstrasse 1 is a protected cultural monument .
The small hall building , closed on three sides, replaced a church on a hill outside the village. The originally simple appearance with large arched windows and a slim pointed spire turret corresponds to the baroque church type of the region.
After being damaged in World War II , the church was provisionally restored. Around 1980 it was redesigned inside and changed to historicizing the outside by means of upgraded structural elements .
