The first models were made in 1:28 scale, but were then sold in 1:32 scale. Stabo also built four 1:24 scale vehicles. There are two different rail systems. The 24 vehicle models produced come from Formula 1 , Formula 2 , GT racing , but some trucks were also made.

Formula 1 vehicles

The first Stabo F1 vehicles that were most recently offered in the Stabo range are more toys than models and are therefore more intended for children's hands. They can be divided into three series. "Series 1" vehicles have a "Stabo Carrera" or "Stabo Car ----" logo, a driver made of red plastic and, above all, no recess for the engine on the underside, because the first engines were smaller than the later ones . These vehicles have narrower wheels and the gearboxes have a high proportion of plastic. "Series 2" vehicles have a "Stabo Car ----" - or "Stabo Car" logo, a driver made of red or white plastic and, above all, a visible engine on the underside. These vehicles have wider wheels than "Series 1" and the gearboxes are made entirely of metal. "Series 3" vehicles hardly differ optically from the "Series 2". But they have richer colors, more robust bodies (harder plastic), an "orange peel structure" on the inside of the body and two additional holes next to the guide pin. There are four Stabo F1 vehicles that are / or are not a kit. were.

  1. Porsche 804 This has always been number one and is white. It is the only vehicle that has red plastic rims.
  2. Brabham P57 This was always number two. It is the only Stabo F1 vehicle that is available in two colors. Both versions are green, but the older ones are significantly lighter than the later ones in "british racing green".

  4. Ferrari 156 This was always number four and is red.
