history
The family of the Stach von Goltzheim had lived in the Stacherburg since 1375. Originally, the family came from the Hüppelheim farm settlement southwest of Golzheim , which had already perished in the Middle Ages . The first known lord of the Stacherburg was Johann Stach, who is mentioned in a document in 1377.
After disputes over inheritance, Hans Stach von Golzheim became the owner of the Niederungsburg in 1609 . He leased the property. In 1685 the property was given to the notary Dr. Tillmann Grevenbroich from Cologne sold. In the first half of the 18th century the property went to Johann Arnold Leunenschloß. Via the Hoffsümmer, Stupp and Diefenthal families, the castle came into the possession of the former rally driver Hans Schnock, who runs the DES-Tuning & Classic Team company on the property . Mainly vintage cars are restored.
