The Breite stadium is located in the city quarter of the same name , in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen in the canton of Schaffhausen . It was the home of the football club FC Schaffhausen until December 2016 . The football stadium was built in 1950 and is owned by the city of Schaffhausen. The total capacity is 7,300 places. Of these, 1,028 covered seats, 262 uncovered seats and 6,010 uncovered standing places. The playing area consists of natural grass .
In January 2017, the LIPO Park Schaffhausen with a capacity of 8,000 seats was opened as a replacement .
On December 4, 2016, FC Schaffhausen played their last home game in the Breite stadium. In the basement duel, the FCS lost 1: 2 (1: 1) to FC Chiasso in front of 2,002 spectators .
