history

Construction of the stadium began in the 1970s, but the new arena did not open until July 22, 1985. In 2003 the stadium was equipped with a floodlight system of 1400 lux . As early as the 1980s, the workers of the main sponsor KGHM tried to give the association a floodlight system, but the regional administration rejected the proposal to build it, and instead voted for the construction of a floodlight system at arch rival Śląsk Wrocław . The stadium was one of the most modern and largest in Poland when it was founded. The hotel's premises included a hotel, a restaurant and wellness rooms. A modern and electronic scoreboard from Hungary was located above a grandstand .

Zagłębie won the Polish championship in the Zagłębia Lubin stadium in 1990/91 and 2006/07 . In 2007, however, the demolition of the facility to build a new, more modern arena began. The last game on the old facility took place on May 10, 2008, after which the team temporarily moved to KS Stadion-Polkowice . In March 2009, Zagłębie moved back to the partially completed new stadium .

Others
