The Stadionul Eugen Popescu ( German Eugen Popescu Stadium ) is a football stadium in the Romanian city of Târgovişte . It was the home stadium of the FCM Târgovişte football club until 2010 and then the home stadium of FC Chindia Târgovişte . The stadium is located in the center of the city, near the Chindia Tower. It has 10,000 seats.
Naming
The stadium was named after the ex-player of FCM Târgovişte, Eugen Popescu (1928-1996), who was also one of the most famous youth coaches and developers of Chindia Târgovişte. Under his leadership, the team was promoted to the first division in 1996.
