history
After FCM Târgovişte was the only football club in Târgovişte for years , Gheorghe Popescu founded the soccer team Chindia Târgovişte in 2010 . This was organized as a football academy by Gheorghe Hagi according to the Viitorul Constanța project . However, Popescu left the team in 2013.
In the 2018/19 season, the club became champions of League II and thus rose to League 1 for the first time .
