The city ​​of Konstanz (also City of Konstanz II) was the second ship to be named Konstanz on Lake Constance . It was in service from 1858–1899 under the name Stadt Konstanz. In 1899 it was renamed Mainau (II) and scrapped in Konstanz in 1929.

Technical specifications

It had a length of 50.20 meters, a width of 10.04 meters, a water displacement of 150 tons and could hold up to 300 people. It initially had the steam engine of the decommissioned town of Constanz I and was given a more powerful engine in 1872.

It was used as a passenger ship on courses in the Obersee and Überlinger See and as a tug for railway barges between Constance and Bregenz . The Mainau steamer from the city of Konstanz from 1858 was relocated to Radolfzell in 1926 to strengthen submarine traffic.
