The city of Vöcklabruck , marketed as a Klimt ship since 2007 , is a passenger ship on the Attersee . The ship is operated by Attersee-Schifffahrt and is used in scheduled and charter traffic. It has 258 seats on two decks.

history

The ship was built under the construction number 275 in 1977 by the Theodor Hitzler shipyard and machine factory in Regensburg and put into service with the Bavarian Lloyd on the Danube under the name Ludwig der Kelheimer . The ship came to the Salzkammergut for Atterseeschifffahrt in July 1979, i.e. at the young age of around two years. Since 1979 the ship has been operating on the Attersee as the town of Vöcklabruck . During the winter break 2006/2007 the interior was redesigned. Since 2007 , the town of Vöcklabruck has been bearing the second name of Gustav Klimt in honor of the famous painter, who had his summer residence on the Attersee, and a reproduction of a work by the artist on each side of the ship. These images represent the works Die goldene Adele and Der Kuss . Due to the term Klimt-Schiff used in marketing, the name of the ship Stadt Vöcklabruck is increasingly being pushed into the background.

description

In the three ships of the Atterseeschifffahrt von Stern und Hafferl , she is the flagship and at the same time the largest ship in the fleet. She was the youngest motor ship on the Attersee until the Weyregg was floated. There is a saloon with 85 seats on the entry deck. On the upper deck there is seating for 48 people in the saloon and another 125 on the open deck. The name of the passenger ship is the district capital Vöcklabruck .

Sister ship

The sister ship with the hull number 274, also built in 1977 for Bayerischer Lloyd, sailed the Danube from 1979 to 1997 as Passauer Wolf for Wurm & Köck .
