repertoire

At the beginning of its activity, the choir performed revolutionary fighting and partisan songs as well as Dalmatian folk songs . It was only after Croatia's war of independence (1991–1995) that sacred and religious pieces of music were included in the program. This is because the compositions of this type were banned before that.

The choir has been under the direction of Daniel Separović and Josip Versić since it was founded. Since 1988 Brodosplit has been directed by the composer and conductor Vlado Sunko, a professor at the Art Academy in Split. Under his leadership, the choir's program was improved and arranged according to international requirements.

He has a repertoire that consists of musical works by the masters of the Renaissance to contemporary composers.

Another characteristic is the greater consideration of Dalmatian folk and concert songs in the artistic interpretations of the responsible Croatian composers. The choir supports artists from Croatia's musical past such as Motovunjanin , Lukačić , Bajamonti , Lamperini , Raffaelli .

The choir received awards for the anthological performance of the oratorio Muka Gospodina našega Isukrsta (The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ) written by Boris Papandopulo .
