City church Kaiserswerth
The evangelical town church was built when the Reformed and Lutheran congregations in Kaiserswerth merged to form the evangelical congregation.
history
The construction took place in the years 1807 to 1811. The bells come from the abandoned Cistercian abbey Düsseldorf-Düsseltal . In 1930 the church was expanded. On September 22, 1936 the church was renamed after its former pastor Theodor Fliedner .
In 1949 the war damage was repaired; another renovation took place in 1984.
Since the 1950s, the building has been simply called the “Stadtkirche”.
organ
The organ was built in 1968 by the organ builder Willi Peter . The slider chests -instrument has 28 registers on three manuals and pedal . The game actions are mechanical, the stop actions are electric.
