Bothfeld district cemetery
The Bothfeld district cemetery (also Bothfeld cemetery ) in Hanover is a cemetery opened in 1910 in the Bothfeld district .

The main access is at Burgwedeler Straße 60 . Another entrance is on Hartenbrakenstrasse . In the north the cemetery is bordered by a lake. The cemetery can be reached by tram line 9 , a stop of the same name is located near the main entrance. The district cemetery is administered by the Lahe city cemetery .
The Bothfeld Jewish Cemetery, opened in 1924, is located about 500 m south of the Bothfeld cemetery, also on Burgwedeler Strasse .
Grave sites
Unlike the large Hanover city cemeteries, the cemetery is only permitted for deceased residents of the Bothfeld district.
The most important burial place is that of the student Benno Ohnesorg , who was shot in Berlin during the student movement in 1967 and who was buried here with great sympathy among the population.
