Staffanstorp is a place ( Tatort ) in the southern Swedish province of Skåne län and in the historical province of Skåne . It is the capital of the eponymous municipality of Staffanstorp .

history

The name of the place was first mentioned in 1304, at that time still as Stafnsthorp . It was later changed to Stanstorp . With the opening of the railway station, staffanstorp was committed to avoid confusion with other locations. Despite its long existence, Staffanstorp was never granted city rights.
