Stanimir Belomaschew ( Bulgarian Станимир Беломъжев ; born February 16, 1988 in Trojan ) is a Bulgarian orienteer and cross-country skier .

Career

Belomaschev's parents have already participated in orienteering and ski orienteering competitions. His sister Stefania Belomaschewa-Dimitrova is also a ski orienteer. In 2008, Belomaschew won gold over the middle and long distance at the Junior World Championships in orienteering skiing.

After finishing fourth over the long distance at the European Orienteering Championships in 2011, he won his first European Championship medals with Antonija Grigorova in 2012 with silver in the sprint and bronze in the mixed team . In 2013 he finished third in the mixed sprint world championship with Grigorowa in Ridder, Kazakhstan . At the 2013 European Championships, he finally won his first gold medal in the sprint.

In cross-country skiing, he won two silver medals at the Balkan Cup in 2012. In 2013 he took part in the Winter Universiade for Bulgaria .
