Stanislaw Genrichowitsch Neuhaus

Stanislaw Genrichowitsch Neuhaus ( Russian Станислав Генрихович Нейгауз ; born March 21, 1927 in Moscow , † January 24, 1980 in Peredelkino near Moscow) was a Russian pianist .

Neuhaus was the second son of the German-born Russian pianist and professor at the Moscow Conservatory Heinrich Neuhaus . He studied in his piano class until 1953 and was one of his three assistants from 1957 (alongside Lev Naumow and Evgeni Malinin ). Some of his father's students continued studying with Stanislaw Neuhaus after his death in 1964, according to Radu Lupu . In 1975 he became a professor at the Moscow Conservatory. Neuhaus died unexpectedly in 1980 at the age of only 52.

Recordings exist with Melodiya and Denon .

Neuhaus' son is the pianist Stanislaw Bunin .
