Stasias
Stasias ( Greek Στασίας ) was an ancient Greek sculptor .
Stasias is known from an inscription on a base found in Kameiros in Rhodes . In this he signs a statue that a priest of Athena named Agathocles had consecrated to the goddess in the Doric ring hall temple of the city. The consecration is around the year 276 BC. BC, so that the creative period of Stasias, to which no further works can be assigned so far, can be dated to the first half of the 3rd century BC. Its origin is indicated with Argos , but its place of action may have been Kameiros.
