Stasys Karazija
Stasys Karazija (born December 14, 1930 in Terpeikiai , Wolost Subačius ) is a Lithuanian forest scientist .
Life
After graduation in 1949 at the high school Kupiškis Karazija graduated in 1954 the diploma study of forestry engineering at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in Kaunas . From 1954 to 1956 he worked as the district forester of Šimoniai in the Rokiškis Chief Forestry and from 1957 to 1960 as the chief forester of the Šakiai Chief Forestry . From 1960 Karazija was a research assistant and from 1973 to 1989 head of a department at the Lietuvos miškų institutas in Girionys . In 1980 he received his doctorate in biology and from 1994 to 1997 he was director of the research institute. From 1993 he taught as a professor at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University . From 1996 he was a member of the Lietuvos mokslų akademija .
