The Steenbek is a right tributary of the Buckener Au in Schleswig-Holstein . The river has a length of about 2.6 km. It rises in the district of Homfeld in the municipality of Aukrug and flows further north into the Buckener Au. The upper course is dammed for several fish ponds , the lower course was straightened or piped in many sections as part of the land consolidation .
