Stefan Blessin

Stefan Blessin (* 1943 in Hamburg ) is professor for German literature and language at the University of Hamburg .

For many years, Stefan Blessin was the conversation partner, collector and friend of the Hamburg artist Horst Janssen and wrote several books about Janssen, especially his first biography . Blessin has probably the largest private collection of works of art by Horst Janssen, which he regularly shows in excerpts in museums and art associations . He also wrote several works about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe . At the end of August 2016, Janssen's collection consisting of 315 watercolors, prints and drawings was sold to the Horst Janssen Museum in Oldenburg for 1.5 million euros .
