Stefan Christians

Stefan Christen (born June 1, 1968 ) is a Swiss professional officer ( brigadier ).

After training as an agricultural machinery mechanic , Stefan Christen completed his training as a career officer at the Military Academy in Birmensdorf in 1997 and was deployed in various positions in the army until 2003 . Between 2004 and 2008 he headed the Emergency Aid Association. In 2009 he completed a Master of Science degree in Global Security at Cranfield University , after which he was at the Military Academy in Birmensdorf until 2010 and then led a contingent of Swisscoy in Kosovo in 2011 . Back in Switzerland, he became group leader at the General Staff School in Lucerne and in October 2012 became the commander of the Rescue Troops Recruit School . From January 2016 he was Head of Projects / Control in the Army Command .

On January 1, 2017, Christen took over command of the Genius / Rescue Teaching Association while being promoted to Brigadier .
