Structure of the Swiss Army

This article presents the basic structure of the Swiss Armed Forces as of January 1, 2019. It reflects the new structure that has been in force since January 1, 2018 in accordance with the further development of the armed forces (WEA). If the army is deployed, a deployment structure tailored to the assignment is used.

The number of stars given for the higher command and staff positions indicates the degree of the commander or chief of staff: for corps commanders (KKdt), for divisional officers (Div) and for brigadiers (Br).
