Stefan Döring (musician)

Stefan Döring (* 1962 ) is a German jazz saxophonist and clarinetist and composer.

Career

Döring studied jazz and improvised music at the Cologne University of Music and at the Berlin University of the Arts . He then lived for a few years as a jazz musician and arranger in Paris, where he participated in various German-French ensembles and took part in tours through France and Germany and through India and CD recordings on behalf of the Goethe Institute . In 1999 he recorded the album Hot Music in a trio with Christian Thomé and Robert Schleisiek . Along with Dietrich Thomas, he belongs to Verena Guido's trio , with whom the CD was created in 1999 and they still don't know who I am .

In addition, he works as a composer of film music for documentaries and feature films and teaches film music at the Jazz Haus Schule in Cologne .

Stefan Döring lives with his family in Cologne.
