Stefan De Loecker

Stefan De Loecker (* 1967 in Siegen ) is a Belgian manager and CEO of Beiersdorf AG since January 1, 2019 .

Life

De Loecker studied economics in Antwerp , Belgium . He started his career at Nestlé in 1990 . After various positions, he moved from 2007 to 2008 as managing director of Maggi GmbH and at the same time as a member of the board of directors of Nestlé Germany AG. From 2008 to 2011, de Loecker was CEO of Nestlé Rossiya LLC, Russia. From 2011 to 2012 he was first COO at Tesco UK and then Chairman of the Board of Tesco Slovakia. In 2012, he moved to Beiersdorf AG, where he was appointed to the executive board in 2014 and chairman of the executive board in 2019.

De Loecker received criticism when shortly before his move to become CEO, he fired internal competitor Ralph Gusko, who had worked for the Beiersdorf Group for over 30 years, including the last six years on the Executive Board.

Private

De Loecker is married to a German woman.
