Stefan Götz

Stefan Götz (born June 5, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian mathematician and associate professor at the University of Vienna ( Faculty of Mathematics). He mainly works in the areas of didactics of mathematics and elementary mathematics .

Life

Stefan Götz was born on June 5, 1966 in Vienna. After attending elementary school and secondary school, he graduated with distinction in 1984. He completed his studies in mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna and completed both teaching and diploma studies in both subjects. In 1990 he graduated as a Master of Science. This was followed by military service, teaching internship and first experiences as a teacher. From 1992 to 1998 Götz completed a doctoral degree in mathematics. In 2002 he was appointed associate professor.

Further tasks

From 2002 to June 2008 he was on the management committee of the working group of mathematicians at AHS in Vienna.

Publications

Stefan Götz is the author, co-author and editor of numerous publications, including many school books.
