The lighthouse Falshöft is a lighthouse on the Baltic Sea near Pommerby in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein.
Built from 1908 to 1909, the lighthouse was put into operation in 1910. It was made from bolted cast iron segments from the Isselburger Hütte , as they were used in the construction of z. B. the lighthouses Hörnum , Büsum , Westerheversand or Pellworm were used, built on a brick base and is 24.4 m high. The mounting height is 25 m. He referred to the shallows of Bredgrund and Kalkgrund as a cross- brand fire and was a guiding and orientation light in the entrance to the Flensburg Fjord .
In agreement with the Danish administration, the beacon was put out of operation on March 1, 2002 by the Lübeck Waterways and Shipping Authority, as terrestrial navigation in the stretch of coast with the remaining shipping signs Kegnæs Fyr and Kalkgrund lighthouse is considered sufficiently possible.
The tower became the property of the Geltinger Bucht office and was initially only used as a wedding room. It can now also be viewed and climbed. The panoramic view from the viewing platform includes the surrounding area as well as a view over the Baltic Sea to the Danish islands of Als and Ærø . Since December 2005 the beacon has been burning again as a dimmed white festival fire .
The lighthouse and the adjacent beach section Gammeldamm served several times in the past as a film set for the ZDF early evening series The Country Doctor and Da Comes Kalle .
