Stefan Higatzberger

Stefan Higatzberger (born August 24, 1965 in Eggenburg ) is a former Austrian handball player and has been the team manager of the Austrian men's national handball team since 2009 .

Higatzberger plays for SG Handball West Wien and UHC Tulln Handball. He was champion three times with West Vienna (1990, 1992, 1993). In the 1993/1994 season, he and his team made it to the group stage of the EHF Champions League, where u. a. to defeat the later Champions League winner Santander at home. With Tulln he played in the European Cup Winners' Cup (2008).

He played 163 international matches for Austria's national team . He participated for Austria in 1992 in the B World Cup in Austria and in 1993 in the A World Cup in Sweden.
