Stefan Kerth

Stefan Kerth (born April 16, 1973 in Parchim ) is a German politician ( Social Democratic Party of Germany , SPD). He was from 2007 to 2018 Mayor of Barth and since October 10 elected district administrator of the district of Vorpommern-Rügen .

After Kerth had first learned the profession of optician , he decided to study law in Rostock after reunification . He successfully completed this and worked after his doctorate as a speaker in the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

politics

Kerth joined the SPD as a student in Rostock and took on voluntary work. For a few years he was on the state executive committee of the SPD . To this day, Kerth is a board member of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern eV (SGK-MV).

family

Kerth is married, has three children and lives in Barth.
