Stefan Kuhn (born October 1, 1979 in Banff ) is a former Canadian cross-country skier .

Career

From 1998 to 2011, Kuhn took part in competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski . From 2004 to 2011 he mainly competed in the Nor-Am Cup. He won the overall ranking in the 2007/08 season . He completed his first World Cup race in December 2005 in Vernon , which he did not finish. At the first Tour de Ski 2006/07 he reached 49th place in the overall ranking. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in 2007 in Sapporo , he finished 39th in the sprint and 38th in the 50 km mass start race. At the Canadian cross-country skiing championships in 2008 in Callaghan Valley , he won over 10 km classic. In November 2008 he got his first World Cup point in Lahti with 15th place in the sprint. This was also his best place in a World Cup race. At the Canadian cross-country skiing championships in 2009 he won bronze over 10 km freestyle and gold over 15 km classic. In February 2010 he came in 15th place in the sprint at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he achieved 52nd place over 15 km classic, 51st place in the sprint and 12th place with the relay.
