Stefan Perings
Stefan Martin Perings (born October 27, 1966 in Göttingen ) is a German cardiologist , lecturer and editor .
Life
As the son of Eduard Perings and Maria Perings, he passed the Abitur in 1987 at the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule Bochum . Between 1987 and 1989 he did basic military service . This was followed by studying human medicine at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf from 1989 to 1995. He received his doctorate in 1997 with the subject of NMR spectroscopic studies on the myocardial energy metabolism of aging spontaneously hypertensive rats at the Clinic for Cardiology, Pneumology and Angiology of the Heinrich Heine University. He also completed his clinical training at the University Hospital Düsseldorf and graduated in 2003 with a specialist in internal medicine and in 2005 with the recognition of cardiology.
In 2016, Perings was appointed private lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf with the habilitation thesis Cross-Sector Care of Patients with Coronary Heart Disease, Malignant Cardiac Arrhythmias and Implantable Devices , and he was granted the license to teach internal medicine.
Professional Activities
Perings has been a partner in the Institute for Prevention and Sports Medicine in Düsseldorf since 2005 .
Since 2012 he has been a member of various commissions of the German Society for Cardiology (DGK), including the commission for clinical cardiology.
Also since 2012, he is a member of the Executive Board of the Federal Association of Lower freedman cardiologists eV
His scientific publishing activities are reflected, among other things, in his work as editor of the specialist journal Current Cardiology as well as the managing editor of the specialist portal Kardiologie.org .
He is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Rhineland Heart Network as well as deputy chairman of the Düsseldorfer Kompetenznetz Herz eV
