Stefan Ottlitz (* 15. July 1976 in Regensburg as Stefan Plöchinger ) is a German journalist and head of product development at the mirror .

Career

Ottlitz began his journalistic career in 1995 as a local reporter for the Süddeutsche Zeitung . From 1997 to 2001 he completed the 36th teaching desk at the German School of Journalism in Munich. He then worked as a political editor at the Abendzeitung in Munich, from 2004 to 2006 at the Financial Times Deutschland and then head of the service , text editor and managing editor at Spiegel Online. From 2010 to 2017 Ottlitz was editor-in-chief of Süddeutsche.de and since 2014 also a member of the editor-in-chief of Süddeutsche Zeitung. There he was responsible for the digital projects. During this time, sz.de's successful paid content model was launched. In 2017 he returned to the Spiegel Group as Head of Product Development. In the past, Ottlitz taught at the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg and the German School of Journalism in Munich.

In July 2018 he married the journalist Till Ottlitz.
