Career

From the youth club TSV Forstenried , for which he was active until 2001, Schurf moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich . Out of adolescence, he was accepted into the third division team. After an 18-month injury break, he made his professional debut on March 29, 2009, the 28th matchday of the 2008/09 season , when he replaced Manuel Duhnke in the 88th minute . In the remaining games of the season he was a regular and so came in his first season in the men's area on 12 missions, in which he was replaced twice and twice.

In 2009/10 , Schurf was part of the Bayern Reserve team from the start and was also part of the 26-strong UEFA Champions League squad of the professional team that reached the final there this year. For the first team, however, he did not complete a game in this competition or in any other competitive game. On November 13, 2009 he made his debut in the U-20 national team , which scored a 2-2 draw against Austria's selection in Hoffenheim. Also on December 8th, 2009, he played a short stint in a 4-1 win over Italy.

After 13 appearances in the 3rd division, he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in January 2010 , so he was out for the rest of the season. In the 2010/11 season he could not get back on his feet after his injury and finally announced in January 2011 that he would not extend his contract, which was due to expire in the summer, and would end his active career at the age of 22.

After the end of his career, Schünsch will begin training in the FC Bayern office and acquire a coaching license.
