Stefan Smolnik

Stefan Smolnik (born September 23, 1970 in Bielefeld ) is a German computer scientist.

Life

From 1990 to 1998 he studied computer science at the University of Paderborn . From 1998 to 2004 he was a research assistant at the Groupware Competence Center (GCC) at the University of Paderborn. From 1998 to 2005 he completed his doctorate with Ludwig Nastansky at the Groupware Competence Center (GCC) in Paderborn (topic: knowledge management with topic maps in collaborative environments - identification, explication and visualization of semantic networks in organizational memories). In 2000 he was visiting professor at Çukurova Üniversitesi . In 2003 he did research as a visiting scientist at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of St. Gallen . From 2005 to 2008 he was a postdoc at the Institute of Research on Information Systems at the EBS Business School . In 2010 the positive interim evaluation took place as part of the junior professorship at the EBS Business School. From 2005 to 2008 he was Research Director and Project Manager at the Institute of Research on Information Systems at EBS Business School. From 2008 to 2013 he taught as a junior professor at the EBS Business School. In 2009 he conducted research as a visiting scholar at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh . From 2012 to 2013 he headed the Institute of Research on Information Systems at the EBS Business School. Since 2013 he has been teaching as a university professor at the FernUniversität in Hagen .
