Stefan Traub (economist)

Stefan Traub (born June 22, 1968 in Bad Oldesloe ) is a German economist .

Life

Traub completed training as a publishing clerk before studying economics at the University of Kiel from 1990 to 1995 . There he completed his studies with a degree in economics, quantitative direction, with a thesis on poverty - measurement and risk factors with special consideration of unemployment . 1999 doctorate he in Kiel Dr. sc. pol. with a dissertation on Framing Effects in Taxation - An Empirical Study Using the German Income Tax Schedule . He received his teaching qualification and Venia Legendi for economics in 2002 at the University of Kiel with a cumulative habilitation thesis on essays in public economics . From 2006 to 2015, Traub taught as a professor of economics, in particular public finance, at the University of Bremen and since 2015 as a professor of economics, in particular behavioral economics, at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg .
