Stefan Wiederkehr

Stefan Wiederkehr (* 1969 in Zurich ) is a Swiss historian and librarian .

Life

Wiederkehr studied history, Russian linguistics and literature as well as philosophy at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate there in 2004/05 under Carsten Goehrke on a topic of Russian intellectual history. He completed his studies in library and information science at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 2004 to 2009 he headed the library of the German Historical Institute in Warsaw . From there he moved to the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities , where from 2009 to 2014 he was also the director of the academy library and the head of the academy's project Annual Reports for German History . Since May 2014 he has been Head of Collections and Archives at the ETH Zurich Library .

His work on the Eurasian movement is called a scientific “ standard work ”.
