Stefanie Lieb

Stefanie Lieb (* 1966 in Krefeld ) is a German art and architecture scholar . She is an adjunct professor at the University of Cologne .

Life

Lieb studied art history, philology , philosophy and musicology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and the University of Cologne and received his doctorate in 1994 with a dissertation on Romanesque architectural ornamentation at the University of Cologne. Your doctoral thesis was awarded the Offermann Hergarten Prize . From 1995 to 2002 she was a research assistant in the architecture department of the University of Hanover and in the Department of Architectural History of the Art History Institute of the University of Cologne. In 2002 she completed her habilitation on the reception process in neo-Romanesque architecture.

From 2002 to 2010 Lieb took on substitute professorships at the Universities of Cologne, Stuttgart , the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art in Halle , as well as teaching positions at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne , the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and the Bergische University in Wuppertal . Since 2002 she has been co-editor of the online review journal for art history Kunstform / sehepunkte . In 2007 Lieb was curator of the exhibition The Dynamics of the 50s. Architecture and urban development in Cologne. in the city hall of Cologne . Since 2009 she has been a research assistant for the project Recognize and Preserve. Post-war church building in North Rhine-Westphalia. of the LVR Office for Monument Preservation in the Rhineland and since August 2011 director of studies at the Catholic Academy Schwerte . Lieb is also a board member of the Wartburg Society . She is the author of over 40 specialist publications.
