Stefanie Stahl
Stefanie Stahl (born December 27, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German psychologist , therapist and author .
Life
Her parents were the lawyer Walter Stahl and the alternative practitioner Mona Stahl. In 1983 she graduated from the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium . From 1984 to 1990 Stefanie Stahl studied psychology at the University of Trier . She works as a psychotherapist in her own practice and as a book author. Until 2014 she also worked as a psychological expert at court. She also holds seminars in German-speaking countries on the subject of fear of attachment and self-esteem .
Stahl started writing in 2003. She wrote her first book So am I together with her friend Melanie Alt. It appeared in 2005 and was revised again by Stahl in 2016. After she had come into contact with the subject of attachment anxiety at work and had found only a few psychological publications on it, she then came up with yes and no! Recognize and overcome attachment fears . Then she devoted herself to her actual core topic, self-worth , and wrote in 2011 Life can also be simple! .
Her book The child in you must find a home was published in November 2015 and at the end of 2016 was Spiegel's annual bestseller number 1 in the area of advice. The book was Spiegel's annual bestseller in the paperback / non-fiction category in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The follow-up volume, Everyone Is Relational, also landed on the Spiegel bestseller list.
Stahl has been holding matching parties since 2019, at which she presented a modified Myers-Briggs type indicator and the theory of the inner child . Her guiding principles: self-acceptance, fundamental ability of people to relate, equal and equal attract more than opposites, certain behavior is difficult to change. That got her into the criticism, she simplifies the psychological theory and links it to everyday thinking.
