Stefano Colage (born July 8, 1962 in Canino ) is a former Italian cyclist.

His greatest success was winning the prestigious Tirreno – Adriatico race in 1995.

1977 began his cycling career, which was strongly encouraged by his father, in youth races. He drove 1982 in Switzerland and 1983 (33rd place) in England for Italy at the amateur world championships and 1984 at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles . He won 18 races as an amateur, and in 1985 he switched to the pros.

In 1986 Stefano Colage finished the Giro d'Italia in 13th place. In 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1992 and 1995 he drove in the Italian professional national team. In his career he achieved a total of 33 professional victories, won the Tirreno-Adriatico tour as well as the Tour of Calabria , the Giro dell'Umbria in 1986 and 1989 , and twice the Trofeo Scalatore mountain prize and the Lugano GP. He also achieved several stage wins, such as the Tour de Suisse , as well as many podiums such as in San Sebastián , the Tour de France , in which he participated five times, and the Giro d'Italia, which he tackled seven times. He started five times at the Vuelta a España . In 1995 Stefano Colage won ten professional races and was awarded the San Silvestro d'Oro prize as the best Italian professional cyclist ahead of Francesco Casagrande and Mario Cipollini . In 1999, at the age of 36, he ended his professional career without giving up cycling entirely. Since then he has been driving amateur races - currently for the Galluzzi team - where he won 13 series victories in 2005.
