Stefanos Klaus Athanasiadis ( Greek Στέφανος Κλάους Αθανασιάδης , born December 24, 1988 in Lakkoma ) is a Greek football player .

Career

society

Stefanos Athanasiadis started playing soccer in his native Lakkoma . In 1996 he joined the youth of PAOK Thessaloniki . Two years later, Athanasiadis moved with his family to Trieste and played for the US Triestina for a short time . After a month in Trieste, he went to live with relatives in Berlin . There Stefanos Athanasiadis completed training sessions at Hertha BSC before returning to PAOK Thessaloniki in September 1998 due to language problems, among other things. In the summer of 2006 he signed his first professional contract there. On February 24, 2007 Athanasiadis made his debut with PAOK Thessaloniki against AE Larisa in the Super League . In the 2009/10 season Stefanos Athanasiadis played on loan for Panserraikos in the Beta Ethniki and achieved promotion to the Super League with his loan club via the playoffs. Then he returned to PAOK and won the national cup with the club in 2017 . This was followed by a move to Maccabi Haifa in Israel . He stayed there for a season and then went on to PAS Ioannina . Athanasiadis has been without a club since summer 2019.

National team

Athanasiadis made his debut for the senior team of Greece on June 8, 2011 in a friendly against Ecuador . On October 11, 2011, Stefanos Athanasiadis completed his first A compulsory international match in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship for Greece against Georgia . By October 2015, he had a total of twelve missions, he did not score a goal.
