Steffen Rietschel (born April 24, 1965 in Hoyerswerda ) is a former German soccer player in midfield . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .
Career
Rietschel played in his youth from 1970 to 1972 for the BSG activist Laubusch . He then went to BSG activist Schwarze Pump for one season before moving to BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg in 1984 . After promotion to the second-rate DDR-Liga he came in season 1987/88 on 16 August 1987 application, when he in the 5: 1 defeat against the reserve team of BFC Dynamo in the 58th minute for Klaus Narrow came on . He was used regularly until the end of the year. Rietschel scored his first goal on October 4, 1987 in the 81st minute against the second team of FC Vorwärts Frankfurt (Oder) , which also marked the winning goal. Then Rietschel moved back to the BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg, where he was part of the permanent staff with 17 games. In the summer he went on to the BSG activist Schwarze Pump, for which he appeared seven times in the GDR league in 1989/1990. After the reunification, Rietschel played briefly with SV activist Laubusch and then from 1992 to 1998 with FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg. He then worked as an assistant coach and later as a coach at the club.
