Halvor Bernt Stein Grieg Halvorsen (born October 19, 1909 in Kristiania , † November 11, 2013 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian theater actor .

Stein Grieg Halvorsen was a son of the composer Johan Halvorsen (1864–1935) and Annie Grieg (1873–1957), a niece of the composer Edvard Grieg . He first married in 1940 and again in 1971 after his first wife died in 1968. From 1928 to 1935 Stein Grieg Halvorsen was engaged at the Nationaltheatret in Oslo , in 1935 and 1936 at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen and again at the Nationaltheatret from 1936 to 1939 and from 1945. In 1997 he retired. In addition to his work as a theater actor, Stein Grieg Halvorsen also appeared in films and television series. His son Stein Johan Grieg Halvorsen (* 1975) is a composer, actor, comedian and director.

Stein Grieg Halvorsen was a holder of the Norwegian Order of Saint Olav (knight 1st class) and the Swedish Order of the North Star (knight). He died of natural causes on November 11, 2013, three weeks after his 104th birthday.
