The Steinbecke is a 1.3 km long orographically right tributary of the Valme in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis , Germany .

The stream rises on the western flank of the Ochsenscheid at an altitude of 664  m above sea level. NN . It flows mainly in western directions. After 1.3 km the stream flows out at 446  m above sea level. NN on the right into the Valme. The mouth is about 500 meters south of Obervalme .

The difference in altitude between the source and the mouth is around 218 meters. This results in an average bed slope of 167.7 ‰. The approximately 62.6 hectare catchment area is drained to the North Sea via Valme, Ruhr and Rhine .
