Bredelar quarry
The Bredelar quarry is located on the western outskirts of Bredelar , Marsberg , Hochsauerlandkreis . The quarry is abandoned. In it have trees located. Silica slate from the Lower Carboniferous is exposed . It forms an essential part of the flanks of the Hoppecke and Diemel valleys between Messinghausen and Marsberg. Because of the biodiversity it is a protected part of the landscape .
