The Schollberg quarry is a mine in Switzerland in the area of ​​the village Trübbach in the political community of Wartau in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley .

Lime has been mined here for over 200 years. The quarry has been operated by "Baustoffe Schollberg AG" since 1984. This is part of the Liechtenstein Vogt Group. The quarry is directly adjacent to the old Schollbergstrasse , the first national driveway of the Old Confederation . The quarry is also adjacent to the former fortress Schollberg the fortress area Sargans . The Steinbuch is located south of Trübbach on the Swiss A13 motorway in the direction of Sargans, directly on the Rhine border with the Principality of Liechtenstein .

The 100 meter high production building with its crane shapes the landscape. The lime is mined underground and by blasting. The tunnel network is currently 18 kilometers long and extends several kilometers into the mountain. The area is 250,000 m². Parts of the production, which includes cement and raw material for stone wool production, are also located in large underground caverns . The quarry can be visited on request.
