Stone crosses in Simonshofen
The stone crosses in Simonshofen are two historic stone crosses in Simonshofen a district of the Middle Franconian town of Lauf an der Pegnitz in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria .

The two small monuments stand together with a rectangular sandstone cube in a strip of green at the edge of the forest. The meaning of the sandstone cuboid measuring 20 × 79 × 32 cm is unknown.
Stone cross 1
The left stone cross is made of sandstone , is badly weathered and has the dimensions 62 × 67 × & nbsp 35 cm. At the front there are pans ( soul holes ) and the left arm is cut off.
Stone cross 2
The stone cross on the right is made of sandstone, is badly weathered and has the dimensions 75 × 62 × 30 cm. The right arm is shortened and the cross has sunk almost to the crossbar.
The two stone crosses probably date from the 16th century. You are near an old connection path from Simonshofen to Bullach and on to Neunhof . They are more than 500 years old. Two people are said to have died here. The exact circumstances and names of the dead are not known.
Two more stone crosses stood at the brook pond and on the road to Neunhof, but both are missing.
The city of Lauf put up an information board on the history of the stone crosses.
