The Steinnes ( Norwegian for stone nose ) is a rocky headland on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It protrudes 6 km east-northeast of the Larsemann Hills in the southeast part of Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them descriptively, mapped them using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
