Stella is a small impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon , northeast of Mons Argaeus and west of Ching-Te . The Rima Rudolf runs south of Stella and the Rima Carmen runs to the west .

The name designation goes back to an originally unofficial designation on sheet 42C3 / S3 of the Topophotomap map series of NASA , which was taken over by the IAU in 1976.
