Stephan Alfare

Stephan Alfare (born January 28, 1966 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Stephan Alfare traveled to the Balkans , Greece , Italy , France and Turkey from 1987 to 1990 . He then worked as a pallbearer in the Ottakringer Friedhof in Vienna until 1996 . Today he lives as a freelance writer in Vienna. In 2000 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .

Stephan Alfare is the author of narrative works and poems .

Alfare is a member of the Graz Authors ' Assembly and the Vorarlberg Authors' Association . He received u. a. 1999 the state scholarship for literature in Austria and 2002 the Theodor-Körner-Förderpreis .
