Country trombonist

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

State trombone attendant is usually a full-time employee of the Protestant trombone work. The trumpet work is called, depending on the region, also trumpet work (e.g. Hesse), trumpet presentation (e.g. Württemberg), trumpet mission (e.g. Saxony). In these organizations he performs managerial tasks (e.g. management). Nowadays, job holders consistently have academic qualifications and have studied subjects such as church music or school music . The degree as an orchestral musician is also often available. State trombone attendant is responsible for the technical, musical, spiritual and organizational support of the wind players entrusted to them. Employers are the churches, associations or factories in which the wind work is organized.

tasks

The internal association tasks include representing the interests and point of view of brass players in the overall context of the employer.

In the practical work, the focus is on the implementation of courses, training measures and honors, the holding of regional rehearsals and choir visits. In some places, selected choirs have to be supervised. The organization of regular trombone festivals and national trombone days is part of the publicly perceptible side of the profession. In newly published music editions, suitable sheet music and performance material will be composed by the waiting staff, set up and published for wind instruments.

At the CVJM-Westbund and the Bund Christian Trombone Choirs of Germany (BCPD) the position is called Federal Trombone Warden . Since many trombone choirs opened up to female members in the second half of the 20th century, there are also state trombone attendees in some associations today .

The Gnadauer Trumpet Association also knew the role of a federal trombone attendant until 1990; he usually directed the federal trumpet day.

In the Evangelisches Jugendwerk Württemberg (ejw) the position is called state consultant for trombone work or trombone consultant.
