Trumpet work of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover
The trombone work of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover was founded in 1898. From 1956 to 2002 the trombone work was a work area in what is now the House of Church Services in Hanover. Since 2004 it has been a work area in the Evangelical Center for Worship and Church Music in the Michaeliskloster at the St. Michael Church in Hildesheim. In the trombone work, 13,000 volunteer wind players are organized in 670 choirs .
history
The Trombone Works was founded in 1898 as an association and, in addition to the YMCA, was dedicated to youth work, which was also men's work. 1933/34 the Posaunenwerk separated from the Landeskirchlichen community services and was integration into the Association ev. Posaunenchöre into line . The association became a member of the Reich Association for Ev. Church music and was subject to the Reich Chamber of Culture . The Hanoverian church choirs continued to exist as a regional association. In 1948 the regional association found its way back to the church under the name Trombone Work of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Hanover . After the Trumpet Factory had moved into the Luther House, the headquarters of the Office for Congregational Service, it applied for integration into the Office for Congregational Service in 1956. Initially, the trombone factory was only connected to the AfG for administrative purposes, which was entrusted with the management . Later it became a work area in the AfG. From 1981 it was a work area in the house for church service and church music ( Hanns-Lilje-Haus ) in the office for community service, later trombone work in the Hanns-Lilje-Haus in the work area men's work in the AfG. Due to restructuring in the house of church services (formerly the office for community service), the trumpet work was given up. Since 2004 the trombone work has been a work area in the Evangelical Center for Worship and Church Music in the Michaeliskloster in Hildesheim.
tasks
The tasks of the work include the training and further education of choir conductors , the acceptance of examinations as D or C trombone choir leaders and the organization of leisure time. The work provides working materials and promotes the work of the trombonists and choirs in the regional church. The choirs play concerts on a variety of occasions. The work helps the volunteer musicians to practice their music through loan instruments, grants and grants.
structure
The association is divided into seven districts, each district is headed by a state trombonist . In the center for worship and church music at the Church of St. Michael Hildesheim, the office is housed, which is headed by the provincial chairman or pastor for the trombone choral work. The state trombone council and the Förderverein Posaunenwerk Hannover eV accompany the work. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover is a member of the Ev. Trombone Service Germany eV (EPiD), the rights resulting from membership are exercised by the Trombone Work for the regional church.
