The trombone work of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover was founded in 1898. From 1956 to 2002 the trombone work was a work area in what is now the House of Church Services in Hanover. Since 2004 it has been a work area in the Evangelical Center for Worship and Church Music in the Michaeliskloster at the St. Michael Church in Hildesheim. In the trombone work, 13,000 volunteer wind players are organized in 670 choirs .

history

The Trombone Works was founded in 1898 as an association and, in addition to the YMCA, was dedicated to youth work, which was also men's work. 1933/34 the Posaunenwerk separated from the Landeskirchlichen community services and was integration into the Association ev. Initially, the trombone factory was only connected to the AfG for administrative purposes, which was entrusted with the management . Later it became a work area in the AfG. The association is divided into seven districts, each district is headed by a state trombonist .
