Hans-Ulrich Nonnenmann

Hans-Ulrich Nonnenmann (born June 22, 1958 in Weinstadt ) is church music director and state trombonist in the Evangelical Church of Württemberg as well as a publisher of various music editions.

Career

Nonnenmann studied school music (teaching at grammar schools) and music education ( trombone major ) at the Stuttgart and Mannheim universities of music . From 1987 to 1999 he was the state trombonist in Bavaria, based in Nuremberg , and since 2000 he has worked in the same position in the Evangelical Youth Office of the Württemberg regional church . To this end, he was awarded the title of church music director .

Work and work

Every two years he conducts the largest music ensemble in the world, the Württemberg State Trombone Day in Ulm with up to 9,000 brass players playing at the same time. In the Swabian Trombone Service , a selected choir of the Evangelical Youth Office in Württemberg in the Stuttgart region, he mainly gives concerts in southern Germany, at the same time he appears as the editor of sheet music for trombone choirs . Both his new instrumentation of baroque and classical musical works as well as his new compositions are attracting great attention worldwide. As a producer of sound carriers, he also appears regularly in public.

Nonnenmann is teaching at the Evangelical University for Church Music in Tübingen.

Nonnenmann also heads the state youth trombone choir, which has existed since 2011.
